-Parents, please help your child practice skills for each subject.
-Also, please make sure that your child is at school and on time each day.
-Registration (April 1-30). See the school website for times.
-CES is no longer accepting checks for this year (office, lunchroom, etc.).
-SEHS concert:  4-29-15  ($3.00)
-Shaved Ice:  4-30-15   ($1.50)
-ARIS School Field trip:  4-30-15  (no cost)
-School Choir Performances:  5-5-15 at 6:00 p.m. (lunchroom)
-Honors Day:  May 14th at 1:15. Students will enjoy Nancy’s Italian Ice before the program. Please send $3. Parents please meet us in the gym by 1:00.
 -Please make sure your child has snack/juice, lunch, or money daily.-Please notify me of any changes in transportation (send a note).

Reading Skills: Main Idea, Plot/Theme
High Frequency Words:  fall   king   town   I’ll   unit   figure     
-Test: Thursday- Students should be able to choose the correct vocabulary words to use in sentences and answer questions about 2 unfamiliar stories. Students will also have to divide words into syllables correctly.

Spelling:  Quarter 4 Week 7 (suffixes -ness, -less)
kindness  careless  goodness  useless  fearless  darkness  sadness  sickness     helpless     thankless     fitness     weakness     awareness   eagerness     wireless
-Test:  Friday-  ***Remember to practice dictation sentences.  *** Students will have to write an interrogative sentence that begins with “what”, and also contains an irregular plural noun (feet, children, geese, mice, etc.); and a sentence that contains an adjective (sweet, angry, fluffy, sticky, large, small, red, three, round, sad, etc.).

Language:  Review Simple/Compound Sentences, Expanding Sentences, Adjectives, Adverbs, and Context Clues (using text to understand the meaning of an unknown word) ***See practice sheets/homework. 
-Test: Friday

Math:  Review Word Problems

We will review/practice word problems. We will also continue to review telling time, counting money, graphs, and adding/subtracting 2 and 3 digit numbers. -Test: Friday (Word Problems)
